Amina Shamsi

Registered Osteopath & Lymphatic Drainage Therapist
I have a true love for wellbeing and I am passionate about treating patients from new born babies to elderly with a wide variety of complaints

I am a fully qualified Osteopath, sports, remedial and lymphatic massage therapist.

Over the years, I have gained valuable experiences treating patients from all different walks of life, such as; athletes, pregnant women, babies/children, the elderly and of course, the classic desk-based worker! These experiences have allowed me to offer osteopathic treatment and massage therapy to everyone and has helped me gain an understanding of complex biomechanical problems in order to optimize mobility, well-being and restore function to the body.

I have a true love for health and well-being, and I am passionate about using a holistic approach with my patients. Rather than focussing on a person’s illness/injury or specific part of the body, I take into consideration a person’s physical, mental and emotional health whilst also considering social factors. Emphasising the connection of mind, body and spirit. This has taught me the importance of tailoring treatments and exercise programmes to work for the individuals specific needs.

Other treatments with Amina Shamsi
Swedish Massage: Massage using oil, with light or deeper pressure after request, for general wellbeing and relaxation. Whole body or just chosen preferred parts such as feet, head/neck etc.

Lymphatic Drainage Massage: A form of gentle massage that encourages the movement of lymph fluid around the body. This fluid in the lymphatic system helps remove waste and toxins from the bodily tissues. Lymphatic drainage can benefit people with lymphedema, fibromyalgia, and other conditions.

Hot stone massage: Heated stones as an implement in the masseurs’ hands, can be added to either Swedish or Remedial massage to enhance the desired effect. The added heat improves relaxation and the increased circulation results in more pliable tissue enabling even deeper pressure, should so be desired.
